The Red Devils lost out on their first Wembley appearance since 1969, losing 17-16 to Leeds Rhino’s in a thrilling Challenge Cup Final. To reach the Challenge Cup final for the first time in 51 years It was a heartbreaking loss for the coach, staff, players and fans on this occasion but they should take great pride in how they competed in the final at the very highest level, a final that will be talked about for many years to come as a classic.

With everything that’s happened, to come here and end up being in a 17-16 result, players and staff being absolutely devastated that we’ve not been able to win, shows a sign of how far we’ve come as a group and as a team over the last few years.”
