The much-anticipated BTR Liverpool Santa Dash took place on Sunday, December 3rd, marking the grand 20th year of the UK's largest Santa Run. Wild Thang took part in the run this year with a team of 20 and we are proud to announce that in the spirit of Christmas our team raised £500 for The John Haynes Foundation, which is a cause very close to our hearts.
The 2023 Santa Dash Finish Line
It was a spectacular fun-filled day with around 6000 Santa's joining us at the iconic Pier Head, adjacent to the Liver Building, the atmosphere was genuinely charged with holiday magic.
Greeted By Drums And Characters Near The Finish Line
The route showcased Liverpool's gems, including the Royal Albert Dock, with waterfront roads providing a breathtaking backdrop. The journey concluded triumphantly in front of the grand Town Hall, uniting seasoned runners and families alike. The inclusivity of the event was evident in the 1K Mini Dash, especially designed for kids under 12, ensuring a day of making memories for all.
The Start Line For The 2023 Santa Dash
It was amazing to see the variety of different outfits from start to finish and later on, see various groups of Santas enjoying their Sunday throughout Liverpool City Centre. It really was a great way to start the festive season for team Wild Thang.
The Chior Singing Christmas Music After The Race
No matter your pace and time as you made your way down the final road towards the finish line everyone was greeted with snow, dancers and a festival of music and applause. We all got a fantastic medal, refreshments and an opportunity to enjoy the choir at the finish line.
Branded T-Shirts For The Race And Finishing Medals
Wild Thang proudly played an exciting role in this event, having worked closely with BTR Liverpool Santa Dash for many years. The team produced world-class branded T-shirts and hoodies, adding a touch of Wild Thang creativity to the participants' festive journey. It was great to see some branding in action and see our work in the flesh, a real sight to behold.
£500 Cheque Raised From The Santa Dash
The BTR Liverpool Santa Dash became a community event, uniting people from all walks of life in the spirit of fun and togetherness. Christmas is a time of not only gifting but giving, so it's important to highlight that one of the most important aspects of the Liverpool Santa Dash is that over the last 19 years, the event has raised 10,000s for various charities, including the 2023 Official Event Charity Partner, Alder Hey Children's Charity.
