Proud sponsor of GSBA25 Celebrating ESG Purpose, Progress, and Partnership!

The spirit of purpose-driven business was on full display as the Wild Thang team proudly attended and sponsored the Good Small Business Awards 2025 at The Liner Hotel, Liverpool. The evening brought together an incredible community of small and micro businesses dedicated to sustainability, creativity, and making a real difference in their local and global communities. These awards celebrate those who prove that business can be a genuine force for good, helping to build a stronger, fairer, and more sustainable economy.

We were proud to be back as event sponsors for the 3rd year and official trophy and branded collateral suppliers, continuing a partnership that began at the very first awards in 2023, where we officially launched our long-term sustainability pledge. Since then, we have made incredible progress across all ESG areas, including avoiding 4,910.63 tonnes of CO₂e emissions, funding 66,160 trees planted, and countering 12,183,273 miles driven in a car, and most recently, we have proudly become a B Corp-certified company.

As trusted supply partners, we also had the honour of producing the official awards, trophies and event collateral. Each piece was crafted with care and precision, reflecting the same creativity and quality that define everything we do at Wild Thang. We wanted every winner to take home something that not only represents achievement but also embodies sustainability and craftsmanship at its best. It’s a small but meaningful way for us to celebrate those leading the charge toward a better future.

Our ESG manager Carrie Dwerryhouse proudly presented the Award for Manufacturing Champion Winner ReallyRecycle, and went on to say: “We’re fully committed to play our part in recognising those using business as a force for good which aligns perfectly with our very recent B Corp Certification, which was one of the most challenging and fulfilling journeys in the companies near 30 year history, helping  us to become one of the most sustainable and certified in our sector in the UK.”

Big congratulations to all finalists and Award winners. Many thanks to everyone involved, including the official judges, supporters and partner sponsors that included: Liverpool John Moores University, Dallas Consulting, City of Liverpool College, LUMA Creations, Journal of Good Business, GSB Foundation, and LJMU School of Engineering, who are all committed to making a difference to balance profit with ESG purpose, which is the essence of ‘The Wild Thang Way. Last but not least, a very special mention to the amazing people behind another unforgettable awards evening, the wonderful Dr Garth Dallas and Claire Dallas.

This year’s awards felt particularly special as they followed another event close to our hearts, the Insider North West ESG Champions Network, where our Managing Director, Andrew Dwerryhouse, joined leaders from Weightmans and Peel Ports to discuss the real-world implementation of ESG. Hosted at Weightmans’ offices, the event brought together forward-thinking businesses to share practical strategies for embedding sustainability across operations and culture.

Adam Shore Speaking As A Gold Sponsor

Andrew spoke about Wild Thang’s journey to becoming a B Corp certified company, and what that milestone means for both our business and our partners. He highlighted how ESG shouldn’t just be a target but a mindset, one that influences every decision from material sourcing and manufacturing to client partnerships. His message was clear, companies should only align with partners and suppliers who share their values and ethical standards, because genuine sustainability requires consistency, integrity, and collaboration.

The discussions at the ESG Champions event reflected many of the same principles celebrated at the Good Small Business Awards, transparency, innovation, and the courage to stand up and be counted as a business that is a force for good. From large organisations to small independents, it was a shared reminder that sustainable progress comes through collective action and long-term commitment, not short-term goals. Taking responsibility to influence others to make better, more sustainable ESG decisions in the future.

At Wild Thang, we’ve seen firsthand how this mindset of placing ESG central to our culture can make a difference. We embedded more sustainable practices across every department, from Lower-Eco Impact merchandise products and garment production, all while reducing waste and supporting our community. We recently released our first ESG Impact report for Jan-Dec 2024, which showcases our commitments. But we see it as the beginning of the journey, not the destination, it's progress, not perfection.

Both events serve as powerful reminders that the future of business lies in responsibility, creativity, and collaboration. Whether we’re crafting more sustainable trophies, producing branded merchandise or uniforms, or helping clients bring their purpose to life, our mission remains the same, to “Deliver one world-class solution that elevates creative branded clothing, merchandise and print through more sustainable practices and ethical production, ‘The Wild Thang Way’". At Wild Thang, we believe that when ESG purpose and creativity come together, truly world-class solutions become reality.
