The sun shone on the 7th annual Ed Chamberlin Golf Classic on 15th May ’23, on the stunning Brabazon course at The Belfry Hotel and Resort.
It was fantastic to see Sky Bet as headline sponsor for the event, they have been a great client of ours for over a decade and we have built a really close partnership to provide all their creative branded clothing, merchandise and print so the day wouldn’t have been complete without Wild Thang merch on the course! We branded all of the apparel for the day, which was supplied by clothing sponsor Reflo, along with the odds boards, pens and betting slips in the lounge.
Team Wild Thang were there to support the amazing WellChild charity raise funds which they use to support seriously ill children and their families, whether that be through receiving support from a WellChild nurse and enabling them to have the proper care and support at home instead of hospital, giving a parent the confidence to care for their child through WellChild’s Better at Home training suites, or through a Helping Hands garden transformation to enable a much needed safe and accessible space. On the day the event raised in excess of £50,000 for this great cause, taking the total raised by the Ed Chamberlin Classic to almost £500,000 since its first golf day back in 2014.
The Wild Thang team, led by Director John Howarth, made their way to 4th on the leader board at one stage, but it wasn’t too last! The team was made up with John and 3 of our clients, one of whom, Carl, won most accurate drive of the day and walked away with a 9000ml bottle of wine from one of the sponsors, The Whispering Angel!
It was a great day all round, and we are already looking forward to being there with our partners from Sky Bet for the 2024 Ed Chamberlin Golf Classic!
