The season of festivities is just around the corner and what better way to kickstart the holiday spirit than with the BTR Liverpool Santa Dash on Sunday 3rd December, the UK's grandest Santa Run? This iconic event has a remarkable history, with a significant milestone back in 2005 when it secured a coveted spot in the Guinness World Records as the Largest Santa Gathering. This year is the 20th year, it promises to be even more spectacular, bringing joy and merriment to the heart of Liverpool.
The BTR Liverpool Santa Dash is not just any run, it's a 5K fun run filled with cheer and holiday magic. It commences at the stunning Pier Head, right by the iconic Liver Building. As participants gather at this picturesque location, they transform into Santa's little helpers, donning their festive best. The sea of Santas is a sight to behold and the excitement is palpable.
The route for this festive extravaganza winds through the heart of the city, passing one of Liverpool's crown jewels, the Royal Albert Dock. The waterfront roads provide a breathtaking backdrop as Santas make their way through the city's bustling streets, spreading the holiday spirit as they go. The journey concludes in front of the grand Town Hall, a fitting end to an adventure filled with joy and camaraderie. The BTR Liverpool Santa Dash isn't just for seasoned runners it’s a fun day out for all who run or walk and there is even a 1K Mini Dash, specially designed for kids under 12 so a fantastic opportunity to make memories as an individual, team or family.
We want to highlight the exciting role that Wild Thang plays in this fantastic event. We've had the privilege of working closely with BTR Liverpool Santa Dash for many years, producing world-class branded T-shirts and hoodies for participants. As part of the Wild Thang family, it brings us immense joy to see our creations being proudly worn by the Santa Dash participants as they embark on this festive journey.
The sight of hundreds of Santas running through the city streets is nothing short of magical. To be part of this incredible spectacle, participants can collect their Santa suits from the pop-up shop in Liverpool city centre, starting from November 1st. The shop adds an extra layer of excitement to the event, making it clear that the holiday season has officially arrived in Liverpool.
The BTR Liverpool Santa Dash is more than just a run, it's a community event that unites people from all walks of life in the spirit of fun and togetherness. But over the last 19 years has raised £10,000’s of funds for various charities including the 2023 Official Event Charity Partner Alder Hey Children's Charity which is exactly why Team Wild Thang will be putting together our own team raising funds for The John Haynes Foundation which is a charity very close to our hearts and so any donation to our Santa Dash fundraising page would be much appreciated.
