Wild Thang had the privilege of once again sponsoring and attending the 2025 YKids Believe Awards, held on Friday, 4th July, at the spectacular Titanic Hotel in Liverpool. This powerful event celebrates Merseyside’s most inspiring young people and this year, we set sail on a pirate-themed adventure that made the night even more unforgettable!

Organised by YKids, a Bootle-based charity transforming young lives since 2002, the Believe Awards are all about shining a spotlight on unsung young heroes, those who show incredible courage, generosity, and leadership in their communities. Whether advocating for change, helping others, or spreading joy, each nominee reminds us of what real impact young people are making across the country, all of which is incredibly inspiring and should give us great hope for future generations.

As proud silver sponsors for the second year, Wild Thang was delighted to provide official awards, branded merchandise, and printed event collateral materials all infused with our signature creativity and quality. But our relationship with YKids does not end there. Throughout the year, our team also volunteers with Y-Kids and has organised young people’s visits to our HQ production facilities, which supported their grassroots work and engagement directly with the communities they serve.

This year’s pirate theme brought a brilliant energy to the evening. Guests were greeted by pirate props, eye patches, and playful accessories that helped everyone embrace their inner buccaneer. Our team got fully involved, dressing the part and sharing in the fun. The atmosphere was joyful, inclusive, and unforgettable.

One of the most moving moments was when our ESG manager Carrie Dwerryhouse presented the Ruby Award to Khalil Aydemir, an 11-year-old breakdancer who competes nationally and internationally, often with adults. Beyond his talent, Khalil gives back by performing at events for Down Syndrome Liverpool, inspired by his younger brother. His story of dedication, empathy, and strength stole the show.

The Titanic Hotel, with its history of actually previously being a Rum warehouse, once again provided the perfect world-class setting, and the pirate elements added a sense of adventure and unity. It felt like one big crew, celebrating the best of our youth with love, laughter, a few tears and plenty of "arrs" along the way. Huge well done to all the other amazing sponsors and supporters that made this event possible, which included, Pladis, Angel Solutions, Mann Roberts Solicitors, Warwick North West, Vinci Building, Sony, Duke Street Market, Verus and RS Clare & Co Ltd, many of whom we are also proud also to call clients.
