Wild Thang Proud Sponsor Of The BITA Liverpool Networking Lunch at Anfield

Wild Thang was proud to be an official sponsor of the first BITA Liverpool Networking Lunch of 2026, hosted at the iconic Anfield Stadium. Bringing together business leaders from across the Liverpool City Region, Ireland and the Isle of Man, the event created an outstanding platform for collaboration, conversation and connection in one of the most recognisable venues in world football. The event once again demonstrated the power of strong business networks. BITA continues to play a significant role in fostering cross-region relationships, creating opportunities for organisations to build meaningful partnerships that extend beyond transactions. For Wild Thang, community has always been central to our journey, and supporting events like this aligns perfectly with our belief that strong relationships and partnerships are the foundation of long-term success.

Q&A With BITA President Paul Whitnel & WT MD Andrew Dwerryhouse

A key highlight of the afternoon saw Andrew Dwerryhouse, Managing Director of Wild Thang, take to the stage for a live Q&A with BITA President Paul Whitnell. The discussion focused on the importance of long-term relationships, the value of trusted networks and why community-led business remains more relevant than ever. As Wild Thang celebrates 30 years in business, Andrew reflected on the company’s legacy, the responsibility that comes with being a trusted supply partner and how building a business with purpose has shaped our evolution from a small start-up into a multi award-winning, internationally recognised brand. From our early beginnings, supported by what is now The King’s Trust, through to becoming a Certified B Corp delivering one world-class solution for branded creative clothing, merchandise and print, our journey has been defined by innovation, resilience and responsible growth.

Operating as a trusted supply partner means more than delivering quality products; it means protecting brand reputation, mitigating supply chain risk and supporting clients’ ESG ambitions through more sustainable and ethical production practices. The Bita community has been an important part of supporting our international growth, and their community and partnerships pillars align perfectly with our own B Corp community and Wild Thang Ethos.  Another inspiring moment during the event came after the QA, Paul & Andrew were joined on stage by a remarkable young entrepreneur from Gaba Clothing. She shared the powerful story behind her and her younger sister’s charity initiative, which raises funds for mental health awareness and knife crime prevention through the sale of clothing. The initiative is rooted in purpose, community and lived experience, using branded apparel as a vehicle for positive social impact.

As a branding expert, Andrew was particularly inspired by the thought and meaning behind their logo design, a reminder that effective branding can carry deep emotional and cultural significance. It was an honour to present Gaba Clothing with branded merchandise to support their ongoing work. The afternoon was a testament to what can be achieved when purpose-driven organisations come together. We believed in trying to align with other companies that have shared values and ethics so it was great to be surrounded by so many respected organisations including Climbing Hangar, Woodlands Hospice, Southport Flower Show, Uniform, SLMC, Kroll Construction, City of Liverpool College and many more some of which we are also to have as clients reinforced the strength and diversity of the regional business community.
