We are absolutely buzzing as it’s another exciting moment for Wild Thang, as we were chosen as a local Liverpool company to brand the first teams kits of Liverpool Football Club for their upcoming Champions League Final against Real Madrid in Paris on the 28^th May.

 As a team, we are always very proud when seeing our branding in action especially when it will be on such an important occasion, being the Champions League Final in Paris on the 28 May 2022.

The Champions League Final is considered one of the top footballing events on the world stage with a worldwide audience of over 400 million predicted to watch live, so when it comes to talking about something that Wild Thang has branded, I am sure you can understand our complete and utter excitement.

LFC TV paid a visit to Wild Thang HQ where they captured our embroidery expert and supervisor Darren Farrell, working his magic with his great attention to detail to the first team kits. This was not the first time Darren has featured on LFC TV; we could say that he has become quite the expert in front of the camera alongside the day job too.

The promotional videos that were produced by LFC TV have already gone viral on the LFC socials for the lead up to the match. They received over 85K of views in the first hour, which is just incredible and a very proud moment for all of us to be able to be a part of that.

It was fantastic to see so many of our team attend the Wild Thang Spring Social at Pins Social Club. It really was a special moment to have no Covid restrictions, it was definitely one of our biggest and best to date. The team brought their A-game to the bowling lanes, but there was only one highest score winner, congratulations Lewis Smith!

We have decided to create a new long service mention and small gift for any team members reaching a special work anniversary of 5 yrs, 10yrs, 15 yrs, 20yrs, 25yrs……

This will be mentioned at each staff social event if someone has reached one of those special work anniversaries. We really did strike it lucky when they joined Wild Thang and since the beginning of the year the following people reached significant work anniversaries.

We were able to give our new starters Claire, Jade, Jordan, Lewis H, Lewis S, Steven and Simon a warm Wild Thang welcome mention at this WT social event. Wild Thangs senior team took part in the Ambassador of Hope plus training with Chasing the Stigma who are a national mental health charity that is committed to normalising mental health. We know the importance of raising awareness around mental health and wellbeing so our senior team is now better equipped and more confident than ever to support our wider team in the best possible way.

So where do we start when it comes to looking back on 2021?

Well we think now more than ever it has to start with a big, huge, massive thank you! Not only to our incredible clients, every order placed has meant so much this year, but also a special nod to our fantastic suppliers, we know having a stable supply chain is central to Wild Thang being able to deliver our world class service.

We are now back to pre Covid trading and we should all be especially proud for not only retaining every staff member throughout Covid restrictions, but now we are in fact growing our team and believe 2022 will be our biggest and best ever.

Christmas is the time when we can all make a difference which is why this year our festive themed Christmas jumper day  we raised money for the John Haynes Foundation which is very closeto Wild Thangs heart, with our team having known John before his passing both personally and professionally.

The foundation itself is focused on delivering professional coaching and mentoring, helping individuals build resilience so they can realise their own potential and ‘Fly With The Eagles’. Our cake sale, raffle and best Chrimbo jumper competition raised a total of £400 so we’d like to thank our generous staff for contributing and helping make these donations possible, you’re the best.

Our final little bit of Christmas cheer was to encourage our team to donate food items to help those less fortunate so this year we delivered to the fantastic Fans Supporting Food Banks Initiative just before we finished for our festive shutdown. Hopefully you can see we take our CSR seriously as a company and its our Wild Thang way ethos that means we will always try and make a difference in society and our community.
